An Update from Roxanne Meeks

Wow! 2020 has brought some unexpected circumstances, hasn’t it? Through it all, CPC has been able to be a steadfast beacon of hope in our community thanks to all of you, our friends and supporters!

We have heard it said that “although we are in this storm together, we are all in different boats,” and how true that is. Innovative. Resourceful. Generous. Compassionate. Courageous–are words that have been used to describe the response of the pregnancy help movement in these uncertain times and we are honored to be among the many pregnancy centers throughout the nation who have continued to serve our communities, although in some cases in limited capacities. We are grateful that God had prepared us for this very moment in time. We had the infrastructure in place to quickly adapt from in-office to remote operations, and continued to serve clients at the standard of excellence to which we aim. For several days in March and April, our contact volume rose, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, even beyond our existing client base. We were quick to respond to the increased volume, and maintained industry service standards that met or exceeded our local and state guidelines. Thanks be to God for His forethought and provision!

CPC of Lenawee is among about 50% of the pregnancy centers throughout our nation that continue to serve in a limited capacity to best meet the needs of our community while continuing to follow the local and state guidelines to ensure best practices for the health and well being of our staff, volunteers, and clients. Through this time, we’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand the increased need that exists in our community and to bring compassion, hope and help in Jesus Christ as we have had the opportunities to share the Gospel! In addition we have had five babies born into our CPC family through this season~3 boys and 2 girls!

Thank you for joining us in our mission for LIFE as The Care Pregnancy Center of Lenawee seeks to change hearts and lives by providing Christian care to elevate God’s plan for the sacredness of life, sexuality, and the family in our community.
