On October 7, 2017, CPC of Lenawee provided a full day of free mammograms to women 40 years and older with no health insurance. CPC was still responsible for the cost of mammograms and was looking for generous donors to help out, which is where Sand Creek Cheerleading and Football Teams stepped in.
Over the course of two weeks the Sand Creek Cheer and Football teams were able to pull in $1,400.00 to donate to CPC of Lenawee, resulting in nine fully funded mammograms on October 7.
The Sand Creek Cheer Team presented CPC of Lenawee Executive Director, Mekeisha Black, and Community Outreach Coordinator, Bailey Winans, with a check during half time of the Friday, October 13 football game at Sand Creek Schools.
We are so proud of the Aggie athletes for going into their community to collect donations to potentially save lives through these mammograms!
